PLEASE do not send your child in trainers to school. These are not appropriate to wear day in, day out and they don’t look smart. Trainers are simply not allowed in High Schools for the reasons above and we hope that you will also respect our stance on the wearing of shoes. Pupils persistently wearing trainers will be asked to change into pumps that the school provides for those wearing trainers.
Plain white t shirt and plain navy or black shorts
Pumps for indoor PE
Long hair must be tied back for PE
Pupils must not wear jewellery for PE – please remove your child’s ear-rings on the morning that they are due to do PE if they are too young to take their own ear-rings out.
We also do PE outdoors and we allow tracksuits and trainers for outdoor work. We also go swimming for a term every year in KS2 – details will be given out by your classteacher when it is your child’s turn to do either activity.
One set of stud earrings and a watch may be worn. Other jewellery should not be worn for health and safety reasons. Watches and ear rings have to be removed for P.E./games and remain the responsibility of the pupil for its safe-keeping. If your child attends school wearing jewellery it will be taken off them (unless it is a symbol of faith, in which case it should be kept underneath clothing). Under no circumstances can school replace lost articles.
